New position – Office and Finance Coordinator

SPELD NSW is seeking an Office and Finance Coordinator to join our growing team in Parramatta.

Based in Parramatta
Full time role, 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
SPELD NSW is a public benevolent institution that provides support to children and adults with specific learning difficulties, their families, tutors, teachers and school.

ROLE SUMMARY
The Office and Finance Coordinator provides:

  • Finance and database support;
  • Support to and coordination of the SPELD NSW Administration Team;
  • Office coordination, including the development of systems, policies and procedures

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial and Database Support

To provide financial and database support, including:

  • Issuing invoices and receipts, following up on overdue invoices
  • Regular financial and database reporting activities
  • Assistance with the development of policies, procedures and systems
  • Support and coordination of Administration Team

To provide support and coordination of the SPELD NSW Administration team, including:

  • Supporting team members in the completion of tasks and coordination of workload
  • Providing customer service to SPELD NSW clients and supporters
  • Provision of administration support to the professional learning team
  • Office Coordination

To provide office coordination services to the SPELD NSW office, including:

  • Ensuring the office is well presented and has necessary supplies
  • Assistance with the development of office, IT and HR systems, processes, procedures and policies
  • Assistance and coordination with HR and IT support

REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualities:

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong customer service and inter-personal skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Experience using finance software or accounts payable experience
  • Experience developing policies and procedures
  • Experience coordinating and supporting a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively under the direction of the Executive Officer, in a team as well as independently as required
  • Ability to be flexible, take initiative, organise own work and multi-task
  • General office administration experience

Desirable qualities:

  • Experience using database software
  • Familiarity with the NSW educational environment and an understanding of learning difficulties
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation
  • Business Administration or Bookkeeping Qualification

Salary of $65,000 pa plus superannuation (with salary packaging results in an equivalent salary of $73,500)
