Reading is a crucial skill and for most children one they acquire easily. However, some children struggle from the outset despite being motivated to learn, a good home environment and enthusiastic parents. So what can you do when your child is struggling to read?
This workshop focuses on practical strategies to get children reading. It looks at how to restart the reading process through fun, hands on activities that will engage even the most reluctant reader.
Strategies will include teaching sight words, letter sounds, blending, decoding and comprehension skills. It is aimed at parents and those involved working with struggling readers.
