This workshop is targeted at teachers, tutors, parents, caregivers, and/or family members of children with learning disabilities including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and ADHD.
Attendees will gain a greater awareness and understanding of the impact learning disabilities such as dyslexia can have on children.
The workshop will introduce the key characteristics specific learning difficulties and will explain how learning difficulties can be identified, evidence based approaches to supporting students with learning difficulties and practical accommodations and adjustments for student in their classrooms and for exams and assessments.
Attendees will be able to purchase the Understanding Learning Difficulties Guide for parents for $20 (reduced from $25).

Attendees will also have the opportunity to view the resources available from the SPELD NSW bookstore.

Georgina is the Executive Officer of SPELD NSW and regularly works with parents and schools to provide support to student with learning difficulties.
