Little Learners Love Literacy is an explicit and sequential literacy program that teaches ALL children to read, write and spell with confidence.
It has been created from evidence based research. It includes phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary knowledge, fluency and comprehension. The Little Learners Love Literacy approach is supported by attractive and easy to use resources including the Pip and Tim decodable books. Little Learners Love Literacy is a whole class approach as well as a second and third tier intervention program.
This Little Learners Love Literacy workshop explains the pedagogy and research underpinning the program and give teachers the tools to move from ‘balanced literacy’ to an evidence based approach, synthetic phonics, using Little Learners Love Literacy. Join us for this informative, practical and interactive workshop!
The presenters of the workshop are Maureen Pollard and Berys Dixon. Maureen is the director of Little Learners Love Literacy, and a passionate advocate of developing children’s skills in learning to read, write and spell. Berys is an experienced teacher and writer and the author of the Pip and Tim decodable books.
