16th October 2019, 7pm-8.30pm @ Parramatta. Only $10 for SPELD Members.
Event now also available as a Live Webinar!
If you are a teacher, tutor, speech pathologist, occupational therapist or parent, supporting a child who is struggling with handwriting, spelling and/or written expression, this evening is not one to miss!
Presented by dual qualified speech pathologist and occupational therapist, Kate Broderick, this workshop will provide information about Dysgraphia and its subtypes.
There will be information regarding other learning difficulties that are commonly observed alongside Dysgraphia, and advice regarding who to see for accurate assessment and diagnosis.
Most importantly, attendees should walk away with some practical knowledge regarding appropriate support strategies; modifications, special provisions, accommodations and evidence based teaching and therapeutic approaches, to help your students or children.
It is estimated that between 7-15% of students have developmental writing difficulties, so there will likely be 1-2 students in every classroom, for whom this information is relevant.
Please come and join us for this informative and practical workshop!
